Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about BingSell Image Converter
What formats are supported?
We support JPG ⇄ PNG ⇄ SVG conversions plus WebP, AVIF, and GIF. SVG conversions include SVG → raster (PNG, JPG, WebP, AVIF) and raster → SVG vectorization. Most formats work entirely in your browser. HEIC/HEIF input may require server processing depending on your browser.
What is the maximum file size?
Each image can be up to 50MB. This accommodates even high-resolution RAW files and large PNGs. Most photos are 2-10MB.
Are my images stored on your servers?
No, never. Client-side conversions (JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF) stay entirely in your browser. For formats requiring server processing, images are converted immediately and never saved. See our Privacy Policy for details.
What are the quick presets?
Presets are optimized settings for common scenarios:
- Transparent PNG – Perfect for UI assets and logos
- Tiny JPG – Compressed for social media (1200px wide, 75% quality)
- Crisp WebP – Modern format with excellent compression
- High-fidelity AVIF – Next-gen format for superior quality
Can I convert multiple images at once?
Yes! Upload as many images as you need. All will use the same conversion settings. Download them individually or use “Download All” to get a ZIP archive.
How does quality affect file size?
Lower quality = smaller files. For JPG and WebP, 75-85% quality offers the best balance. PNG and lossless WebP ignore quality settings. Use the quality slider to find your preferred balance.
Which browsers work best?
Modern versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari all work great. AVIF support requires recent browser versions. We detect capabilities and notify you if a format isn’t supported.
Can I turn JPGs into SVGs?
Yes, with limitations. Raster → SVG vectorization works best for simple graphics with few colors. The process approximates shapes and may not preserve fine details. Adjust “Simplify Detail” and “Color Reduction” settings for best results. Complex photos won’t vectorize well.
Why does my SVG look different after conversion?
SVG → raster conversion renders fonts and effects as your browser interprets them. If your SVG uses web fonts or linked resources, they may not load for privacy reasons. Custom filters and effects might also render differently. Download and compare to ensure quality meets your needs.
Is this service free?
Yes, completely free with no limits on conversions, file sizes (up to 50MB), or downloads. No ads, no tracking, no accounts required.
